Privacy policy
The following information sheet refers to your personal data, which is processed by Marmi Rossi S.p.A. for the current event:
1. Purpose of data processing
The data processing serves to enable participation in the event and to document it – for archiving or for advertising and commercial purposes – using photo and/or video recordings (which could incidentally contain an image of the participant). This includes the publication and distribution of images via the data controller’s institutional channels, e.g. the website and the utilized social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). The legal basis for data processing is a) the fulfilment of the contract to which the data subject is party, or the fulfilment of pre-contractual measures in which the data subject participates at his own request, and b) the legitimate interest of the data processor according to art. 6.1, item f) GDPR.
2. Data provision
It is mandatory to provide the data. If not provided, the participation in the event cannot be permitted. However, the participant can refuse recordings (and/or their distribution) by informing the data controller (or the employees in charge of recording). Nevertheless, we’d like to point out that, depending on the type of event and the need for its documentation, it might be possible that the participant is marginally included in the produced audio/video/photo material, despite his communicated refusal.
3. Data transmission
Those in charge of data processing may have access to personal data, and for the purposes mentioned in point 1, transmit them to company employees, external collaborators, and generally to all public and private institutions if data communication is necessary to correctly fulfil the purposes as stated in point 1. Personal data might be published on the company’s website, on social media, on intranet, in newsletters etc.
4. Data transmission abroad and profiling
The data controller does not directly transmit data outside the EU.
Please note that the controller may seek IT services from providers who could transfer data to the USA. In that case, standard contractual clauses will be applicated for the transfer, in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission, unless the data are transmitted to countries with EU adequacy decision. The data are not subject to profiling.
5. Data subject’s rights
The data subject has the right to access his personal data, to rectify or delete them, to restrict the processing of his data, to object to the processing of the data, to withdraw his consent, to request data portability, or to lodge a complaint to the data protection authority (Garante Privacy – www.garanteprivacy.it).
6. Duration of data processing
We’d like to remind you that we will conserve your data until the fulfilment of data collection purposes (which depends on the nature and relevance of the event), if there is no legitimate objection to the data processing. The duration of data processing may be extended for legal reasons in case of assertion or defense of a claim in court to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, or if there is (or will be introduced) any legal obligation that requires a longer retention period than the one mentioned above.
